Hugo Marinho Borges Calderano, born on June 22, 1996, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, began playing table tennis at the age of eight. Showing prodigious talent from an early age, he moved to São Caetano do Sul at 14 to train with the Brazilian national team. Over the years, he has competed in the Olympics, Pan American Games, World Championships, and ITTF World Cup, establishing himself as the first Latin American male player to reach a top-3 world ranking.
