Althéa Laurin (born September 1, 2001, in Épinay-sur-Seine, France) is a French taekwondo athlete competing in the +67 kg weight class. She made history by winning France’s first Olympic gold medal in taekwondo at the 2024 Paris Games, defeating Uzbekistan’s Svetlana Osipova in the final. Laurin began practicing taekwondo at age 7 and quickly rose through the ranks. She secured a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and gold at the 2023 World Championships in Baku. Additionally, she won gold at the 2022 European Championships in Manchester and the 2024 European Championships in Belgrade
