The team is governed by Zimbabwe Cricket, and their nickname is the "Lady Chevrons." In April 2021, the ICC granted Test status (as well as permanent ODI status) to all full-member women's teams - including Zimbabwe. Even though they now hold Test status, Zimbabwe Women have so far focused on white-ball formats. Their international involvement is mainly in ODIs and T20Is.
