Detailed Bio

The Patna Pirates, a powerhouse in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) since its inception in 2014, are owned by Rajesh V. Shah under KVS Energy and Sports Limited and hail from Patna, Bihar, where they play their home matches at the Indoor Stadium, Patliputra Sports Complex, supported by an ardent local fan base. Renowned for their dominance, the team has clinched three consecutive titles in Seasons 3, 4, and 5 (2016-2017), becoming the first to achieve a hat-trick and defend their championship, with additional final appearances in Seasons 8 and 11, though they fell to Haryana Steelers in the latter as of September 25, 2025. Boasting a unique record of 100 PKL matches played, the Pirates, led by their fierce pirate logo featuring a green body, purple beard, black tricorne, and eye patch, are currently vying for a record fourth title in Season 12, which kicked off on August 29, 2025, following a rare playoff miss in the 2018-19 season.
