The Hyundai Eon was an entry-level hatchback introduced in India in 2011, designed to offer a balance of affordability, style, and practicality. It featured two petrol engine options: an 814 cc 3-cylinder engine producing 55 bhp and 75 Nm of torque, and a 998 cc 3-cylinder engine delivering 68 bhp and 94 Nm of torque. Both engines were paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The Eon boasted a tall-boy design, providing ample headroom and a spacious feel inside. Notable features included a dual-tone interior, integrated audio system with CD, USB, and Aux-in, keyless entry, and a 215-litre boot space. However, safety features like airbags were limited to higher variants, and the car received a low safety rating in crash tests. |
