Israel Strikes Iran: 95 Wounded, Iran Calls It ‘Declaration of War’

Israel Attacks Iran - War 2025

In a major escalation of Middle East tensions, Israel launched a series of airstrikes on Iran early Friday morning (June 13, 2025), reportedly targeting nuclear and military sites across the country. At least 95 people have been wounded, according to Iranian state media, and the capital city Tehran witnessed several powerful explosions.

The Israeli government has declared a state of emergency, anticipating a retaliatory strike by Iran, potentially involving missiles and drones. An Israeli military official confirmed that the operation was a “pre-emptive strike” on what it identified as “dozens” of strategic sites, including nuclear development infrastructure.

Iran’s Reaction: “A Declaration of War”

Iran’s foreign ministry has labeled the airstrikes as a “clear act of aggression and declaration of war”. The Iranian air defense systems have been placed on full alert as fears of further attacks loom. Tehran residents reported loud blasts and visible fireballs in the sky, causing panic and mass evacuations near sensitive zones.

U.S. Response: Denial of Involvement

Two U.S. officials have stated that the United States had no direct involvement in the operation. However, the White House confirmed that former President Donald Trump has convened an emergency cabinet meeting in response to the escalating conflict. While speaking to the press on Thursday, Trump had remarked that an Israeli strike on Iran “could very well happen” but hoped for a peaceful solution.

Nuclear Threat Intensifies

In a startling revelation, an Israeli military spokesperson claimed that Iran possesses enough enriched uranium to construct 15 nuclear bombs within days. Israel's airstrikes are reportedly an attempt to disrupt Iran’s nuclear capabilities and prevent what it calls “an imminent threat to global security.”

Meanwhile, countries across the Middle East are bracing for wider fallout. Oil prices spiked sharply as news of the strike spread, and security alerts have been raised in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Lebanon, and Iraq.

More information is expected as satellite intelligence and diplomatic channels continue to assess the impact of the strikes and Iran’s next move.

Stay tuned for LIVE updates as we follow this rapidly developing story that could reshape geopolitics in the region.
