M.K. Stalin to Launch South India’s Longest High-Level Bridge
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is set to inaugurate the G.D. Naidu Bridge, the longest high-level bridge in South India, on Avinashi Road in Coimbatore today. This 10-km, 10-lane infrastructure marvel, built at a cost of Rs 1,791 crore, aims to ease traffic congestion and reduce travel time from Coimbatore city to the airport from 45 minutes to just 10 minutes. The bridge, named after the renowned inventor G.D. Naidu, features advanced technology to minimize noise and vibration, ensuring a smoother commute for residents and visitors alike.

At 9:45 AM, he will launch the World Innovation Summit 2025, a significant event aimed at fostering technological and industrial growth in Tamil Nadu. Following this, at 11:00 AM, the Chief Minister will officially open the G.D. Naidu Bridge. Later, at 12:00 PM, he will lay the foundation stone for a gold and jewellery industrial park near the SIDCO Industrial Estate, a Rs 126 crore project to boost Coimbatore’s economic landscape.
