In a heartbreaking turn of events, 26 lives — including two foreign nationals — were lost in a horrifying terrorist attack at the scenic Baisaran meadows near Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, on Tuesday afternoon (April 22). This tragic incident marks one of the deadliest civilian attacks in the Valley since 2019.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has personally visited the site and met with the grieving families. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has now officially joined the investigation.

The group Resistant Front, reportedly linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, has claimed responsibility for the attack. According to eyewitnesses and survivors, the attackers showed no mercy, even forcing victims to recite religious verses before executing them — a harrowing detail shared by the daughter of one of the victims.

Sketches of Suspected Terrorists Behind Pahalgam Attack Released

Security officials have unveiled the sketches of three men believed to be responsible for the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 26 individuals, most of them tourists, in South Kashmir. According to authorities, all three suspects are Pakistani nationals — identified as Asif Fauji, Suleman Shah, and Abu Talha. They were reportedly operating under the aliases Moosa, Yunus, and Asif, and are also linked to past terror activities in the Poonch region. The sketches were created with the assistance of survivors who witnessed the horrific incident.
