India is witnessing a renewed surge in COVID-19 cases, with the total number of active patients now standing at 6,133. The rise is mostly driven by a few key states, raising concerns about regional spikes and potential spread.

Here’s a state-wise breakdown of current COVID-19 data:
- Kerala: 144 new cases in a single day, with 1,950 people under treatment.
- Gujarat: 105 new infections; total 822 active cases.
- West Bengal: 71 new cases, with 693 individuals undergoing treatment.
- Tamil Nadu: Rise in cases reported; 1 confirmed death due to COVID-19.
Nationwide, 753 patients recovered from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, showing promising signs of recovery despite rising infections. Authorities continue to emphasize the importance of timely medical attention and self-isolation when symptoms appear.
The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reported a total of six COVID-related deaths recently:
- Kerala: 3 deaths
- Karnataka: 2 deaths
- Tamil Nadu: 1 death
