Several districts in Tamil Nadu witnessed intense summer showers yesterday. Erode and surrounding areas experienced heavy rainfall for more than an hour, causing waterlogging and inconvenience to motorists.

In Madurai district, gusty winds and rains hit regions including Cholavandhan, Vadippati, Irumpadi, and Karupatti. Commuters waiting for buses had to take temporary shelter near roadside shops.
