CM Joshep Viay Outlines Government Achievements and Future Roadmap on 23-06-2026
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C.Joseph Vijay outlined the government achievements during its initial period in office and presented a roadmap for future governance. The statement focused on welfare measures, infrastructure improvements, womens safety, agricultural support, power sector reforms, transparency in administration and long term development plans aimed at strengthening Tamil Nadu growth trajectory.
A New Era of Governance: Key Accomplishments in Tamil Nadu's First 40 Days
Singa Penne Special Force launched for women's safety. Free electricity up to 200 units provided. ₹134.83 crore special package announced to support Kuruvai paddy cultivation. 77 liquor shops near schools and bus stands closed. Amma Canteens renovated and improved. Reforms introduced in the Registration Department to reduce corruption and simplify document registration. Healthcare monitoring strengthened, with 40 new vehicles provided for medical and rural health services. ₹2,045 crore cooperative loan waiver granted for poor and middle class borrowers. Jal Jeevan Mission 2.0 which was implemented by Tamil Nadu government and the Major investment projects approved by Tamilnadu government in Kanchipuram, Coimbatore and Tiruvallur to creating growth & employment opportunities for youngsters. Steps taken to digitize government administration. Crackdown on illegal mining and quarrying, with drone based monitoring and enforcement. Measures initiated to build a corruption free and transparent administration.
Building a Transparent Government for Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu CM says we don't know how to govern. They said our ministers and MLAs don't know administration. Yes, that true we don't know how to do politics the wrong way. We know how to serve people but not how to loot public money. We know how to conduct fair tenders, but not how to inflate contracts for corruption. We know how to give promotions and transfers based on merit, but not how to take bribes for them. We know how to create jobs, but not how to sell government posts. We know how to protect temples and their wealth, but not how to misuse them. We know how to safeguard Tamil Nadu's natural resources, but not how to exploit them for personal gain. We know how to increase government revenue for public welfare, but not how to divert it into private pockets. We know how to respect and protect women, families, and society, but not how to encourage harmful practices. Our ministers and party members understand public service not self service.Let us remain ignorant of such things forever. That's how we will build a government that truly serves the people.
Power Stability and Farmer Prosperity: Our Twin Priorities
Tamil Nadu remains a power surplus state, recent power cuts have occurred due to past administrative shortcomings, equipment failures and deliberate disruptions by certain elements. To address this, our government has formed 10 high level monitoring teams, deployed 125 special emergency response vehicles, and established 77 new power restoration centers to ensure 24/7 monitoring and faster restoration. We are committed to eliminating this issue soon. Some protests are being instigated by opposition parties, but farmers understand that this government stands with them. Despite the challenges posed by reduced rainfall and El Nino conditions, we assure our farmers that we will remain their strongest support.
Even after inheriting financial difficulties, our government has taken historic steps for farmers. Through cooperative banks, we have announced crop loan waivers worth ₹5,932.23 crore, benefiting over 14 lakh farmers. Small and marginal farmers who borrowed up to ₹75000 receive a full waiver while those with larger loans receive substantial relief. Our focus is clear solving people problems, supporting farmers, strengthening infrastructure and building a better Tamil Nadu for everyone
A Government Committed to Justice, Safety, and Development
Our ideology is clear: Cooperative federalism at the national level and state autonomy at the state level. We may differ politically with the Union Government, but our priority is always Tamil Nadu's development. We will never compromise on our principles or the rights of our state. We are not on anyone side except the people. We are a Peoples Team, a Secular Team, and a Social Justice Team.
Protecting Tamil language and continuing the two language policy. Opposing any language imposition. Seeking exemption from NEET and supporting medical admissions based on Class 12 marks to ensure social justice and equal opportunity. Law and order is non negotiable. Womens safety is our priority, and the Singa Penne Special Force is the first step in that direction. We are also taking strict action against drug trafficking and anti social activities. Many of today challenges did not emerge overnight. They are long standing issues that were neglected for years. Our mission is simple clean governance, social justice, women's safety and a stronger Tamil Nadu.
We Will Not Spare Corruption Honest Governance, Honest Intentions
Let me says this clearly every rupee taken from the people through corruption will be brought back to the government treasury. We will never touch public money, not even a single paisa. Our government believes in representation and social justice, not concentration of power. That is why we have given ministerial positions to leaders from marginalized communities and ensured greater representation for women in government.
We have made a commitment to the people:
We will not make mistakes knowingly. We will not engage in corruption. We will remain honest and fair. Unlike those who believe power should remain in the hands of a few, we believe in sharing responsibility and creating an inclusive administration. I asked the people for some time because of the financial challenges we inherited. My promise remains unchanged we will gradually fullfill every commitment we made to the people. Criticism is welcome but insulting the people for the choice they made is not. The people voted for this government and their verdict deserves respect. If anyone has constructive suggestions that benefit Tamil Nadu we are ready to listen and act on them. But politics based only on mockery, misinformation and personal attacks helps no one.
