India Sees 511 New Covid Cases as Kerala and TN Numbers Rise

India is experiencing a fresh rise in COVID-19 cases as 511 new infections were reported across the country within just 24 hours, according to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry. This brings the current number of active cases in the country to 2,170, indicating a sharp upward trend.

The southern state of Kerala reported the highest single-day count, with 227 new cases, pushing its total infection count to 1,147. Authorities in Kerala are on high alert and have deployed medical teams to monitor cluster zones and potential outbreak regions.

In Tamil Nadu, 27 people tested positive for the virus in a single day, raising the state's total number of confirmed cases to 148. Health officials have increased surveillance in districts where cases have emerged, urging citizens to follow mask mandates and social distancing rules.

States including Delhi, Maharashtra, and Karnataka are also seeing a noticeable rise in daily cases. Reports suggest that more than 100 infections were recorded across seven states, highlighting the need for renewed vigilance and public cooperation.
