Yosi

Storyline

Yosi explores the dark underside of academic ambition and the collapse of a young life under mounting expectations. Madhuvan's journey from suicidal despair into a raw struggle for survival in an unfamiliar forest becomes a metaphor for surviving one's inner wilderness. Director Stephen M Joseph uses tight cinematography of dense woods, low-light sequences and tribal encounters to externalise the protagonist's inner conflict. Abhay Sankar's performance navigates between fragility, panic and determination. The film raises questions about youth pressure, mental health, the value of life beyond success, and the nature of human resilience.
