Viji was an Indian actress who worked predominantly in the Tamil film industry. She began her acting career in 1982 with the film Kozhi Koovuthu directed by Gangai Amaren alongside Prabhu. Born in 1966 in India, she quickly gained popularity for her expressive acting and charming on-screen presence. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Viji appeared in more than 40 Tamil films and became a familiar face among Tamil audiences. Despite her promising career, she faced severe health challenges following a spinal injury sustained during the shooting of Poove Unakkaga in 1996.
