S. S. Chandran was a renowned Indian actor, comedian, and film producer in the Tamil film industry. Celebrated for his impeccable comic timing and expressive performances, he appeared in over 700 films across a career spanning several decades. Starting his journey in stage dramas at the young age of 15, Chandran later became a household name through memorable roles in films like Paati Sollai Thattathey, Thangamani Rangamani, and Sahadevan Mahadevan. Beyond cinema, he was also an active politician associated with the AIADMK party and served as a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha. Born in Chennai in 1941, S. S.
