Shamna Kasim (Poorna) is an Indian actress and trained classical dancer who began her acting journey with the Malayalam film Manju Poloru Penkutty (2004). She made her Telugu flim in Sri Mahalakshmi (2007) and her Tamil flim with Muniyandi Vilangial Moonramandu (2008), where she played the lead female role. Her breakthrough came with the Kannada film Josh (2009), which became a major hit, completing over 100 days in theatres. Shamna appeared in several Tamil films including Kodaikanal, Kandhakottai, Drohi, Vellore Maavattam, and Vithagan during the late 2000s and early 2010s.part from films, Shamna was active on television, especially as a judge in Telugu and Malayalam dance reality shows, which helped her connect with a wider audience. In 2016, she starred in the Telugu comedy Jayammu Nischayammu Raa.
