Seema born Shanthakumari is a celebrated Indian actress in the Malayalam film industry Known for her versatile performances she made her debut as a dancer in Tamil films and later became a leading actress in Malayalam cinema with the film Avalude Raavukal in 1978 She starred in around 250 films in Malayalam and also appeared in Tamil Telugu Kannada and Hindi films She won Kerala State Film Awards for Best Actress in 1984 and 1985 and is remembered for films like Adiyozhukkukal Aalkkoottathil Thaniye and Anubandham Born in Kochi Kerala she married director IV Sasi in 1980 and they have two children Seema remains an iconic figure in Malayalam cinema for her bold and dramatic roles and her contribution to expanding the scope of female characters in the industry.
