R. Muthuraman was a renowned Indian film actor in the Tamil film industry, celebrated for his versatile performances and natural screen presence. Known as the “Navarasa Thilagam” (Gem of Nine Emotions), he starred in over 100 films during the 1950s to 1970s, including classics like Kadalikka Neramillai, Thiruvilayadal, Ethir Neechal, and Savaale Samali. Born on July 4, 1929, in Orathanadu, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, Muthuraman started his career at Gemini Studios and later became one of Tamil cinema’s most beloved actors.
