After her father death when Pavitra was in ninth grade, she completed her schooling and earned a bachelor degree in commerce before entering acting. She made her film debut at age 16 and gradually built a career in both cinema and television. Although she initially aspired to become a civil servant, circumstances led her to the film industry. Over the years she has acted in multiple languages and also worked in television serials and web series. In 2023 she married Telugu actor Naresh.She works primarily in the Kannada and Telugu film industries, and has also done television and web series work.
