Mena Mansour Massoud (born September 17, 1991) is an Egyptian-born Canadian actor who gained international recognition for playing the title role in Disney’s live-action Aladdin (2019). His performance earned him nominations at the Teen Choice Awards and National Film & TV Awards. Before his breakthrough, he appeared in Canadian productions such as Open Heart (2015), and later starred in Amazon Prime’s Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan (2018), Hulu’s Reprisal (2019), Netflix’s The Royal Treatment (2022), and the horror film The Sacrifice Game (2023), which he also executive produced. Born in Cairo, Egypt, to Coptic Orthodox Christian parents, Massoud immigrated to Canada at the age of three. Raised in Ontario, he attended St. Brother André Catholic High School and initially pursued neuroscience at the University of Toronto before shifting his focus to acting. He later graduated from Ryerson University’s Theatre Performance program in 2014.
