Meena is a veteran Indian actress in the Tamil Telugu Malayalam and Kannada film industries. She began her career as a child artist in the early 1980s and quickly became one of the most prominent leading actresses in South Indian cinema. Known for her versatility she has appeared in over 250 films playing a wide range of roles from romantic leads to strong character roles. Meena gained fame with films like Muthu Ghilli Bharathi Pelli Sandadi Annayya Raja Kannezhuthi Pottum Thottu and Yajamana. Born in Chennai Tamil Nadu she is married to film director Vidyasagar and has two children.
