Krishna Kumari was a celebrated South Indian actress known for her work in Tamil Telugu and Kannada films. She gained fame during the 1950s to 1970s for her graceful performances expressive acting and versatility in portraying a wide range of characters. She made her debut in Tamil cinema and rose to prominence with Telugu films such as Bangaru Papa Donga Ramudu and Pelli Meeda Pandiri. Krishna Kumari starred alongside leading actors of her time including N T Rama Rao Akkineni Nageswara Rao Sivaji Ganesan and Rajkumar. She was admired for her strong emotional performances and elegant screen presence. Born in Naihati West Bengal she later settled in Bengaluru after her marriage and passed away in 2018.
