Catherine Tresa is a celebrated Indian actress and model who predominantly works in Tamil and Telugu cinema. Born on 10 September 1989 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to a Malayali Christian family, Catherine was raised with a strong foundation in academics and the arts. She pursued her schooling in Dubai, where she also developed skills in piano, singing, dancing, ice skating, and debating. Inspired by her passion for performance, she began modeling at the age of 14 and later moved to Bengaluru for higher studies. Catherine made her acting debut in the Kannada film Shankar IPS (2010) opposite Duniya Vijay. Her breakthrough came with Godfather (2012), where her portrayal of a mentally challenged character earned critical acclaim and a Filmfare South nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
