Anuja Iyer is an Indian actress and television host who primarily works in the Tamil film industry. Born and raised in Chennai Tamil Nadu she comes from a Tamil Brahmin family and completed her schooling at Rosary Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Santhome Chennai. She pursued her Bachelor of Commerce degree at Shri Ram College of Commerce Delhi and later completed her Masters in Advertising and Public Relations at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication Delhi. Anuja began her acting career with the Tamil horror film Sivi released in 2007 where she played a ghost role. She later appeared in Mudhal Mudhal Mudhal Varai and Ninaithale Inikkum earning appreciation for her performances. Her notable role came in the bilingual thriller Unnaipol Oruvan and Eenadu where she portrayed a television journalist. The role earned her a Filmfare nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Apart from acting she has hosted television shows and written as a columnist for entertainment portals. Anuja Iyer is known for portraying strong and independent characters in Tamil cinema and continues to be recognized for her diverse talents and graceful screen presence. Show less
